Chers M et Mme Revel, Merci beaucoup pour votre retour très positif ! 😊 Nous sommes ravis que vous ayez apprécié la taille du camping, ses infrastructures (terrain de boules, piscine), la situation, ainsi que la qualité de votre cottage. Concernant le WiFi, nous sommes justement en train d’étudier des solutions pour améliorer ce point dès la saison prochaine. Pour ce qui est de la réception 4G… malheureusement, cela dépend des opérateurs, et là, nous n’avons pas (encore !) la main 😅 Et oui, le lave-vaisselle en vacances, c’est clairement le luxe — même s’il faut encore préparer les repas 😉 Merci encore et au plaisir de vous accueillir à nouveau ! We're so pleased you enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere — the owls, sheep, and our curious peacock really do make it special 😊 You're absolutely right about the swimwear: in France, only proper swim trunks are allowed in swimming pools — no swim shorts. It’s a national rule, not just ours! As for the light at the chemical disposal point and rubbish area — your suggestion makes total sense. But maybe... just maybe… the lack of lighting is our secret trick to keep things quiet and avoid clattering bins and toilet cassettes in the early hours 😄 That said, we’ll definitely think about it. We're glad to hear that you appreciated the peaceful atmosphere of our campsite, the modern mobile home, the facilities, and our convenient location near the Normandy beaches and museums. However, we would like to clarify a few points regarding some of your comments: All the information you mention — including the pool rules, the cleaning conditions, and the equipment of your mobile home — were clearly communicated in advance. These details are available on our website, were included in the newsletter sent 7 days before your arrival, and were also reminded during check-in. So, none of these aspects should have come as a surprise. Regarding the swimming pool: As indicated in our materials, only tight-fitting swimwear (e.g., briefs or swim trunks) is allowed for hygiene reasons — this is a standard rule in many French pools. Despite this information, you attempted to enter the pool wearing swim shorts, which is not permitted. This is why access was refused, which likely explains your lower rating for the swimming area. Concerning the cleaning service: The end-of-stay cleaning package does not include dishwashing or trash removal — this is clearly stated upon arrival. Dishes must be cleaned, dried properly, and put away, and bins must be emptied before departure. These are basic requirements that help us maintain high hygiene standards for all guests. About the uncovered terrace: The mobile home you selected does not have a covered terrace, as mentioned in the description. For more comfort, we had a 3-bedroom cottage with a covered terrace and dishwasher available at the same time of your stay. Dear guests, Thank you very much for your kind words about the cleanliness of the facilities, the comfort of the showers, and the enjoyment you had during your stay. We’re happy to hear that you appreciated the campsite and the surrounding area. Regarding your comments: Swimming pool border: We are aware of the discoloration on the pool edges, and we would like to reassure you that it will be repainted. Unfortunately, this is mainly due to the use of sunscreen and to some guests entering the pool without showering beforehand. We cannot use strong cleaning solvents, as they would affect the water quality. However, we are actively working on solutions that respect both hygiene and safety. Palm leaves and vegetation: The leaves are regularly collected, but with the wind, they tend to fall again quickly. As there are only two of us managing the campsite, this is an ongoing task, and we appreciate your understanding. We strive to maintain the grounds as best we can alongside our other daily responsibilities. Private area behind the reception: This area is indeed private and not accessible to guests. Snack bar opening times: The snack bar was open until August 30th — almost your entire stay. As mentioned on our website, during the low season it opens three times a week, only on reservation. We aim to maintain this service level while adapting to the lower number of guests outside peak periods. We’re grateful for your helpful comments and are glad you enjoyed your holiday with us. Cher M. Fauvel, Merci beaucoup pour votre retour positif, nous sommes ravis que vous ayez apprécié votre séjour, ainsi que la qualité de l’hébergement et de notre accueil. Concernant la piscine, elle est effectivement chauffée à 26°C, une température que nous avons choisie car elle représente un bon équilibre entre confort de baignade, respect de l’environnement et maîtrise énergétique. Il est vrai qu’en période de fortes chaleurs extérieures, l’eau peut sembler plus fraîche en comparaison, mais elle reste à une température idéale pour une baignade agréable et tonifiante.
